Look what Xerox is doing for our Soldiers!!

XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING COOL

If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can’t pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them.
This takes just 10 seconds and it’s a wonderful way to say thank you. Please take the time and please take the time to pass it on for others to do. We can never say enough thank you’s.
Thanks for taking to time to support our military!

Setting Up a Free Genealogy Tool Box with Google

I found an article that I had written in the past about Setting up a Free Genealogy Tool Box so am posting it here to share with you and hoping that it will help someone.

If you are already researching your family tree or you are just beginning to research, you need some way to organize all that good stuff you find in your research journeys. I have written a pdf book on how to set up a Free Genealogy Tool Box using Google so you can do that.

In this tool box you will be able to access everything you need in one place on the internet, whether you are at home, the library, a relatives home or any place else. Your tool box will be a home page where you can access your email, documents, spreadsheets, photos, calendar of events, all your favorite genealogy websites, maps to where you wanna go, or maps that you make up yourself of cemeteries, etc., a genealogy blog, custom search engines for your surnames, states, favorite websites, etc., and a lot more.

You will also be able to keep track of time with your own clock and see the weather at a glance for a few days in case your thinking about going cemetery hunting or something fun like that.

My pdf book gives you ideas and instruction on how to start your Personalized Free Genealogy Tool box and then you can go from there and add more or less for your needs.

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of ‘Camp Complaining’
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To ‘thank’ is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We’ll run the race with gratitude
Xalting God most high
Yes, there’ll be good times and yes some will be bad, but…
Zion waits in glory…where none are ever sad!

Tutorials at Hummie’s World

Thanks to Scrappin A Latte’, I have found some wonderful Photo Shop tutorials by Hummie’s World. You can find these tutorials at Hummie’s Forum under Hummie’s World Sample Tutorials and Subscriber Area. For a limited time you can download a free Layered Torn Text Tutorial and some more great tutorials. She’s a great teacher and it’s so much easier to learn by watching the tutorial than by reading it. There’s also a great tutorial on Hummie’s Blog that shows how to make a color swatch from your photos.
